Depression Strikes Again

Read the news of how yet another actor thought ending his life wud be the solution to all his troubles. We have all come across situations that made us hit the rock bottom, made us vulnerable to an extent where we wud have thought of ending our stories. Depression is a very silent enemy that strikes you and diminishes the spark of trust, luv, happiness and even the will to live.

A small whatsap chat with a dear friend who said she could relate to what he might be going through and weekend watch of the movie Fashion triggered this write up. I am doing research on depression, have my patients with a similar condition.

I want to create a psychological antidote for depression.

Loneliness, not knowing who m to trust, not able to vent out the real expressions, real emotions is the biggest cause of depression.

Unfulfilled expectations, self doubt, broken relationships, personal and professional insecurities and most of all, not finding the real purpose of self and life causes depression.

It is essential that we do an inventory check of our emotions.

our feelings and if there is a red flag, seek help. Depression can b managed, handled and removed from our systems by continuous checks of those emotional triggers that work as catalyst.

I very strongly feel, one's family is your biggest rock. They might shout at you, get angry, not speak with you, but, they will always come when u need them the most. We arr blessed with that one friend, who is always with us, share the real feelings with this friend, it really helps.

and then off course there are therapists. There is no harm in reaching out to one and ask for help after all we just get once to live...let's live it fully and fulfilling.
